OMNIS MAGICA PRESENTS

Lumina Foil Index

A visual documentation protocol designed to capture foil behaviour, light response and the surface details of collectible cards.

The Lumina Foil Index, also known as LFI, is an internal protocol developed by Omnis Magica to study and document how foil cards respond to controlled light, movement and perspective.

Through dedicated visual acquisitions, LFI transforms reflective surfaces into readable archival material: light, texture, depth, activation, imperfections and visual identity.

LFI is progressively applied to selected cards from the Omnis Vault, creating a visual archive dedicated to foil behaviour and the light response of collectible materials.

Capture light. Read foil. Document rarity.

THE PROTOCOL

What LFI observes

Three levels of observation transform surface behaviour into accessible visual documentation.

01

Light response

Controlled light reveals how foil surfaces activate through angles and movement.

02

Surface detail

Texture, print behaviour and minor imperfections become visual archival data.

03

Visual archive

Each acquisition becomes part of a broader body of documentation within Omnis Magica.

LFI ECOSYSTEM

One protocol, four branches

Each branch applies the same methodological core to a different context of observation, comparison or research.

Lumina Foil Index

The core protocol for documenting the optical response and visual identity of foil cards.

WHY LFI

Beyond the static image

A scan records appearance. LFI documents behaviour.

01

Scan

It reproduces the graphic content frontally, but reduces or removes the dynamic response of the foil layer.

02

Photography

It preserves a single instant of light and strongly depends on angle, exposure and reflections.

03

LFI acquisition

It records a readable sequence of activation, colour shifts, depth and surface response.

NEXT EVOLUTION

From optical acquisition to the interactive Digital Twin

The Digital Twin Engine will use LFI acquisitions and directional frames to reconstruct an interactive experience of the physical card. The engine will be designed from the start to manage multiple cards and unique codes.
